BMW has launched the updated M2 in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.03 Crore. This model will continue as “CBU” like its predecessor. The M2 features a few cosmetic changes and better performance.
BMW M2: Design
In terms of design, the new M2 has got minor updates with the frameless kidney grille in front, three section intake at the bottom. When it comes to the rear, it has got a race-car style diffuser and standard black exhaust tips. BMW offers an options to choose between a sunroof and a carbon roof. This new M2 sits on 19-inch alloys at the front and the 20-inch at the rear. It is available in four new colour options : Portimao Blue, Fire Red, Sao Paulo Yellow, and Skyscraper Grey.
Inside, the new M2 comes with a flat-bottomed steering wheel along with Alcantara finish as optional. It comes with 12.3- inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment system. It also include a new UI with latest generation i-drive system along with memory function, M seat belts, adaptive LED headlamps, BMW connected package and more.
BMW M2: Powertrain
The new BMW M2 continues to powered by the Twin-Turbo 3.0 litre, 6 cylinder engine which belts out 473 bhp of power and 600 nm of torque. The transmission options include : a six speed manual and an eight speed automatic unit. It can boast from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. However, it can reach upto a top speed of 250km/h which can be increased to 285km/h with an additional M driver’s package.
The new BMW M2 is priced at Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom).
