New Delhi: After the good demand for electric cars, domestic companies like Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra are bringing a lot of specials in the EV segment in India. There are many options for expensive and premium cars, but the options for low cost electric cars are currently less in India.
In such a situation, soon Tata Motors is preparing to bring electric variants of its premium hatchback Altroz. At the same time, Mahindra & Mahindra can also launch its micro SUV KUV100 Electric. The concept models of both these cars were showcased at the Auto Expo 2022 and now their production ready model is going to be seen on the roads soon.
Mahindra KUV100 Electric Range
Mahindra & Mahindra’s affordable electric car KUV100 Electric has been waiting for a long time. According to media reports, it can be introduced on Indian roads by the beginning of next year. According to media reports, this electric car will have a battery pack of 15.9kWh. Its electric motor will be capable of generating 54.4 bhp power and 120 Nm torque.
Mahindra eKUV100 can have a battery range of up to 150 kms. Fast charging facility can also be seen in this car and its possible price can be less than Rs 10 lakh.
Tata Altroz EV Range
Tata Motors can introduce its Altroz EV in the Indian market this year in the festival season. However, no official information has been given about this. The Altroz EV can be offered with Tata’s promising Ziptron technology, which will be equipped with a magnet AC motor and a lithium-ion battery pack.
The battery range of the Altroz Electric can be from 250km to 300km. The looks and features of the Altroz EV are likely to be mostly similar to the petrol and diesel variants. The Altroz EV can be offered in India with a starting price of over Rs 10 lakh.
