Jawa’s classic and the 42 have been able to carve out a formidable following for themselves in India. Over the years the brand has been able to compete against the likes of Royal Enfield, whose line is much more expansive. To keep- up the momentum of their reign against Royal Enfield, Jawa has started working towards a new update for its bikes. In a recent spy shot that has been doing the rounds over the internet it has been revealed that the new Jawa 42 FJ might have a change that may possibly upset the Jawa enthusiasts. As per a slew of leaks, the new Jawa 42 FJ has been spotted with a single exhaust setup.
New Cosmetic changes
The images showcase the missing exhaust on the left side, It’s also possible that the bike might be given an underbelly exhaust. The overall appeal of the bike seemed similar to that of the older model, the seat although seems to have been shortened and the tail section has been shortened to give the bike a more bobber like appeal.
Beyond that, not much has changed the bike still has a circular headlamp, an upright sitting position for the rider as well as an extended exhaust pipe along with a broad rear fender. Whether the bike would be equipped with an underbelly exhaust or not is still unclear.
Engine Specs
The bike would still be powered by the same 334 cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that generates 29.17 PS and 29.62 Nm of peak Torque Beyond that the bike has been mated to a conventional 6 speed gearbox. The existing Jawa 42 FJ has a dual channel ABS variant and was last available at a price of Rs 2.15 lakh.
The 2025 Jawa 42 FJ does not have many other changes other than the single sided exhaust that has been seen on the bike. Otherwise the bike would be the same as before with a single piece seat, a grab rail and an slightly upswept exhaust.
