New Delhi: Toyota Alphard and Vellfire, popular for their luxury and comfort, are about to get the 2024 version update. Their pictures have come to the fore before its launch. Its global launching is expected in the next few times.

Dimension

Toyota Alphard and Vellfire are built on the same platform. The dimensions of both are exactly the same. It measures 4,945 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,895 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Although their exterior and interior design is different. Apart from styling and features, the road presence of both is also very good in the current format. The new 2024 Toyota Alphard and Vellfire can be seen with an updated front fascia and refreshed rear section.

Design

The new versions of both the Alphard and the Vellfire get curved horizontal slats. Although the format and color options are different in its design. The lighting in the 2024 version is also of new and different design. The tail lamps of both the minivans have been updated. The new model is much sportier than the current model. The new color shade is expected to be offered only with the Alphard. Alphard and Vellfire are available in common color options like White Pearl, Steel Blonde Metallic and Black in the international markets. Luxury White Pearl for Alphard and Burning Black for Vellfire can be included as new colours.

Features

The new versions of the 2024 Toyota Alphard and Vellfire are expected to get some new features in the interiors. The current model already gets features like captain seats with ottoman function, ambient LED lighting on the ceiling, tri-zone air conditioning, Toyota telematics system, full leather seats, premium sound system and full digital rear view mirrors. It also includes electronic parking brake, cruise control, moonroof and wireless charging. Safety kit includes 7 SRS airbags, vehicle stability control, traction control, ABS, brake assist, EBD, hill start assist control and blind spot monitor.

Engine

Toyota Alphard and Vellfire get a 2.5-litre engine that generates maximum power of 179 bhp and peak torque of 235 Nm. It is mated to a 7-speed CVT gearbox. The current Vellfire is priced at Rs. 96.5 lakhs, ex-showroom, but still sells a lot. About 400 units have been sold in March and April 2023. In India, the Vellfire is brought for sale through the CBU route. The new updated version is expected to be launched in India as well.

Who competes with

This car competes with Mercedes Benz V Class, in which 2 diesel engine options are available. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs. 71 lakhs.
