New Delhi: Hyundai Motors is preparing to launch the facelift version of its Creta SUV in India. Recently, it was spotted testing on Indian roads, and some key details about the new SUV have emerged from spy images. Let’s find out what updates can be expected in this SUV.
Design:
The testing model of the new Hyundai Creta was well camouflaged, so the design details are not fully visible. However, on closer inspection, it appears to feature 18-inch alloy wheels similar to Alcazar and an updated front grille inspired by the global-spec Palisade SUV. The new Creta incorporates vertical headlights that are inspired by the Palisade SUV, but it also includes new signature LED DRLs.
Cabin Updates:
Although we haven’t seen glimpses of the interior yet, the new 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to come equipped with Hyundai SmartSense ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology, which is also available in the new Verna sedan. It is likely to feature lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, stop and go adaptive cruise control, blind-spot assist, rear cross-collision alert, and several other features. Additionally, the new Creta will be equipped with updated BlueLink connected car technology, offering features such as vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilization, and a 360-degree camera valet parking mode.
Engine Updates:
The new 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to feature the new 1.5L turbo-petrol engine that generates an output of 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. This new engine will replace the existing 1.4L turbo-petrol engine, while the option of the current 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.5L diesel engine will continue to be available. It will come with a choice of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Launch Date:
The launch date and other details of the new Hyundai Creta facelift have not been revealed yet. However, it is likely to arrive in the market by February 2024. It will compete against the facelifted version of the Kia Seltos, which is set to be launched soon. The new Seltos is also expected to offer similar engine options as the Creta.
