New Delhi: Japanese automaker Suzuki has officially unveiled the 2023 Suzuki Ertiga at the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). The original design has been retained in the updated model. However, Suzuki has made some changes in the design as well as the interior. It will be offered with a petrol engine with mild hybrid system. The 2023 Suzuki Ertiga will come with a new grille, revised front bumper and new alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the MPV will get a new metallic teak faux wood trim on the dashboard and seats.
The 2023 Suzuki Ertiga will come with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the 7-inch touchscreen unit. It has Suzuki’s SmartPlay Pro technology, which supports voice commands and connected car technology. Connected car features include theft notification and tracking, tow away alert and tracking, geo-fencing, driver behavior, over-speeding alert and remote function. The updated Ertiga will come with a 360-degree surround view camera. It is expected that when the Ertiga gets a facelift in India too, a 360-degree surround view camera can be found in it too.
The updated Ertiga is expected to be launched in the Indian market next year as well and similar features could be added to the India-spec model as well. Although there has been no official statement from the company regarding this, but because Suzuki has introduced the updated model of Ertiga in the international market, it is expected that it can get an update soon in India too. It is worth noting that the 2023 Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine with Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid tech. It comes with a Lithium-ion battery and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG).
