New Delhi: South Korean automaker Kia Motors has introduced its facelifted version of the mid-size SUV, the Kia Seltos, in the Indian market. The new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has received several updates compared to its predecessor. Customers can book this new SUV from July 14th. Powertrain Comparison
Both the 2023 Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta offer a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, generating the same power output of 113 horsepower. However, the Seltos facelift also offers a new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 158 horsepower. This is the most powerful engine in this segment. The Seltos comes with five transmission options: MT, iMT, AT, IVT, and DCT, depending on the different engine variants.
2023 Kia Seltos vs. Hyundai Creta: Features
The Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta are known for their feature-loaded SUVs. However, the new Seltos facelift comes with even more advanced features. It features a twin-screen setup with two 10.25-inch units, one for the infotainment system and the other for instrumentation. It also includes a new panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, standard six airbags, electric parking brake, and other features such as Level-2 ADAS. It is expected that the facelifted version of the Hyundai Creta will also offer similar features when it launches next year.
2023 Kia Seltos vs. Hyundai Creta: Price Comparison
The Hyundai Creta is currently the highest-selling SUV in this segment and is available in India with a starting ex-showroom price of INR 10.87 lakh, going up to INR 19.20 lakh for the top model. The new Kia Seltos facelift is expected to have an ex-showroom price starting from INR 10.99 lakh, going up to INR 20.99 lakh for the top model. The new 2023 Kia Seltos will be launched in three trims: Tech Line, GT Line, and X Line. The top-spec trim will offer more premium features compared to the other trims.
