New Delhi: South Korean automaker Kia is about to launch the facelift version of its mid-size SUV Kia Seltos in India. This Kia car will compete with Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara after coming into the market. We are going to give information about what features will be seen in the Kia Seltos facelift.
Kia seltos facelift new engine
The company is replacing the 1.4 L turbo petrol engine of the new Kia facelift with a new 1.5 L motor which will be more powerful than before, will give the car 158 bhp power and 253 Nm peak torque. While the old 1.4 L turbo engine was with 138 bhp power and 242Nm torque combination, the 6-speed manual (MT) or 7-speed DCT automatic (AMT) transmission given in the old engine can be retained.
The new Seltos can be given a 1.5 L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which will be capable of giving it maximum power of 113 bhp and 144Nm highest torque. Which will be done with both 6-speed manual (MT) and CVT automatic gearbox options. While the other will come with 113 bhp 1.5 L diesel engine with 250Nm torque. In which 6-speed torque converter will be available with automatic (AMT) and 6-speed manual (MT).
Kia Seltos Facelift Updated Safety Features
Advance driver assistance system will be given in the new Kia Seltos facelift, which will make it safer than before. ADAS System Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, Lane Following Assist, Rear View Monitor, Safe Exit Warning Safety features like rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist are available.
Kia Seltos Facelift Updated Interior
The new interior of this car has been improved by changing the new all-digital 10.25-inch console and instrument cluster first. While the 10.25-inch infotainment system has been retained, the automatic variant is likely to come with standard rotary gear shift. Apart from this, it can be updated with new features like panoramic roof, new switches for the center console and 360 degree camera. According to the information, the navigation system of the new Seltos can be based on cruise control.
Will compete with
In India, it will compete with vehicles like the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider (starting ex-showroom price Rs 10.48 lakh) and Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara (starting ex-showroom price Rs 10.45 lakh).
