New Delhi: Korean automaker Hyundai is preparing to launch the new Creta facelift and next-gen Verna sedan in the Indian market. Both the models are expected to be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo in January. Not only this, according to reports, Hyundai has ramped up the production of the new-gen 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan for the Indian market. The 2023 Hyundai Verna is expected to make its global debut at the 2023 Auto Expo in January.

The 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan will be bigger than the older model and will have more cabin space. The larger size will make it more acceptable in many other international markets including the US. It is going to compete with Honda City, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Vertus. It will be launched against all these in the market. The 2023 Hyundai Verna is codenamed BN7. A glimpse of the new-generation Elantra sedan can be seen in its design.
It can be very stylish. It will see Hyundai’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language, which has been seen earlier on the new Elantra and Tucson. It will get a new parametric-jewel-pattern grille. The grille will have integrated full-LED headlamps. Also, the bumper will look more aggressive than before. It is also likely to get the hi-tech “H-tail lamp”, which creates a shape similar to the Hyundai Flying H logo. It may get wing-type lower bumper treatment.

The new sedan may get a long list of features including ADAS technology. With the ADAS, the Verna will be positioned against the new Honda City Hybrid. ADAS features will include autonomous emergency braking, collision warning and avoidance system, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control and other features.
The 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan is expected to be offered with 3 engine options, which could be 1.5L NA petrol (115bhp), 1.5L turbo-diesel (115bhp) and 1.4-litre turbo-petrol (138bhp). Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be offered.
