New Delhi: Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Ducati launched the updated variant of its tourer bike Ducati Monster SP in India. The look of the new bike will be similar to that of the standard model, but it will be placed at the top. The reason for which are some cosmetic changes made to it. This bike also has a 973cc engine with BS6 -II standards as well as a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster.
Ducati Monster SP Looks
Talking about the looks of this new bike, it looks very much similar to its current standard monster bike. But its weight is slightly less than before. Apart from this, it has muscular fuel tank, upside dual exhaust system, circular headlight, tourer look with step-up seat, all LED lighting setup, Bluetooth supported 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster apart from 17-inch mixed metal alloy wheels.
Ducati Monster SP Engine
This new bike has a powerful 937cc Testastrata L-Twin engine, which generates maximum power of 109hp at 9,250rpm and highest torque of 93Nm at 6,500rpm. Which is paired with a 6-speed gearbox transmission. The bike weighs 186 kg and has a top speed of 205 km/h. This bike is capable of giving a mileage of 18.8 km/l.

For better rider safety, it gets disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with cornering anti-lock braking system, wheel control and traction control features as well as sport, road and wet riding modes. Talking about the suspension, it has been given inverted forks at the front and preload adjustable mono-shock unit at the rear.
Ducati Monster SP price and competition
In the domestic market, the company has launched the new Ducati Monster SP at a price of Rs 15.95 lakh. The sport bike will compete with the likes of Kawasaki ZS900 and Triumph Street Triple RS.
