New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its mid-size hybrid SUV car Grand Vitara in India by the end of this September. The booking of this car has started from 11th July and till now more than 50,000 people have booked this car. This vehicle has been developed by Maruti in association with Toyota. While its production will also take place at Toyota’s plant, which is located in Karnataka. Maruti will sell this car under its Nexa dealership.
Powertrain of Grand Vitara
This car will be launched in a choice of two powertrains like mild hybrid and strong hybrid. In which a 1.5-L K15C petrol engine will be seen in the mild hybrid version with a power capacity of 103bhp and a 1.5L TNGA Atkinson cycle engine will be used in the strong hybrid version, which will generate a combined power of 115bhp. The mild hybrid version will get the option of 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. While the eCVT gearbox will be given in the Strong Hybrid version. According to the company, mileage of up to 27.97kmpl can be obtained from this variant. While the mild hybrid version of Grand Vitara will get a mileage of 21.11kmpl from two wheel drive manual, 20.58kmpl from two wheel drive automatic and 19.38kmpl from AllGrip all wheel drive.

How much will be the price?
Maruti will launch this mid-size SUV in four trims namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, which will be available in both manual and automatic transmission options. According to the information received so far, the price of this car can be from Rs 9.50 lakh to Rs 18. This car will be launched in two options like mild hybrid and strong hybrid. In which the price of mild hybrid version can be between Rs 9.50 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh and the price of strong hybrid version is expected to be between Rs 17 lakh to Rs 18 lakh. The strong hybrid technology is expected to be available only in the Zeta+ and Alpha+ variants. All these prices are tentative, which the company has not yet confirmed, it is possible to change after the launch.
