Why Vishal Sikka has resigned as MD and CEO of Infosys

New Delhi: In a major development at Infosys,  India's second largest software services exporter, Vishal Sikka has resigned as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Infosys. His resignation has been accepted by the board with immediate effect. 
 U B Pravin Rao has been appointed as Interim MD and CEO.


Sikka had just completed three years as the CEO of Infosys.
According to agency reports that Sikka cited "a continuous stream of distractions and disruptions" in recent months, among his reasons for leaving.


Volatile global economic environment where things have become a bit complicated may also be on of the many reasons.
