Prachi Bhardwaj, New Delhi: The iconic writer and lyricist Padma Bhushan Gulzar, has been enchanting his fans for more than 50 years now as he turned a year older today.
Sampoorna Singh Kalra who is popularly known as Gulzar perfectly plays with words and weaves deep magic in his songs. Born in Jhelum district, which is now in Pakistan, Gulzar's compositions are the proof that nobody other than him can describe the feeling of love, heartbreaks or treachery.
In his prominent career, he has directed many super hits such as Mausam, Parichay, Aandhi and many more. The 83 year old writer has triumphed several awards including National Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, an Oscar and a Grammy for his heartfelt verse.
