New Delhi: Soldiers of the country are the pride of the nation who guard the borders 24X7 while people safely celebrate festivals and are able to sleep at night at their homes.
But the life of the soldiers is not as easy as we imagine. Sure, we know that these fighters are reckless and their will is unyielding, but one can never know about their hardships.
The video that was uploaded by Jawan Tej Bahadur of 29 battalion on social media revealing the poor conditions in which the army officers are forced to live has gained the attention of sports fraternity.
Cricketers like Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Mohammad Kaif have expressed their concern over the issue.
Virender Sehwag who has made a name for himself through his funny one-liners on twitter looked very serious about the matter. The cricketer shared the screenshots from the video and demanded better food supplies for the Indian soldiers.
He twitted,"Whatever said and done, our Soldiers and Farmers need to be taken better care of. Proper food needs to reach them all. #Food4Soldiers"
Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh appealed his fans to share the video as much as possible for the love of jawans. Whereas Mohmmad Kaif who was recently targeted on twitter for his 'surya namaskar' post twitted," Proper food for Jawans is a must. Bas Baat Khatam."
Other atheletes like Vijender Singh and Yogeshwar Dutt also took jibe at the issues and targeted people behind the misery of the soldiers.
Tej Singh has posted three videos on Facebook in which he has complained about the pathetic condition of BSF jawans. In the video, he said, “The background must be looking very beautiful in the picture. But I want to tell you that our condition here is very pathetic. In these difficult conditions, we are honestly doing our duty. But we are not getting sufficient food to eat. How can we do our duty then?”
