Security forces begin search operation for trapped militants in Shopian

Srinagar: In an early morning development security forces begin cordon and search operation in nine villages of Shopian district. Militants are supposed to be trapped in the area.
Security forces have begun cordon and search operations in villages of Chakoora,Mantribug, Zaipora, Pratabpora, Takipora , Ranipora, Ratnipora, Dangam and Wangam.

 In the meantim Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat will on Sunday begin a three day visit to Jammu and Kashmir's Ladakh, which saw a scuffle and stone-throwing between Indian and Chinese troops.

Gen. Rawat will review the security in the area, and also grant an award to a unit.

The scuffle occurred on Tuesday when Chinese soldiers tried to cross the Line of Actual Control. A Border Personnel Meeting that took place on Wednesday saw both sides agree to take steps to ensure peace along the border and leave such incidents behind.
