New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi government has been under scathing attack on the job scenario as is being witnessed by the growing unrest among the youth.
Modi is taking the situation very seriously and that is precisely why PM will be taking a keen look at the data collection on employment and mulling on avenues for job creation.
Many policymakers have expressed concern over the lack of credible job date and opportunities. Niti Aayog will make a presentation on Sunday to the PM on employment data.
Arvind Panagaraiya, the chairman of the Aayog is heading a task force set up by the Aayog to assess the job opportunities based on credible data and the panel has been mandated to shape a methodology for a reliable statistics.
It needs to be mentioned that recently the Niti Aayog had refuted the criticism that India has no credible job data.Niti Aayog has been of the opinion that food processing, electronic assembly, leather products and textiles can flourish thus creating good job opportunities.
