New Delhi, July 12: Recently, Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu Kapoor celebrated her 60th birthday in Paris along with her family members. The industry was abuzz with rumours that Alia will also become part of those celebrations, but it did not happen. Alia could not attend the birthday but made sure to wish the yesteryear actress and her wish has won users on social media.
Rumours suggest that it was her father Mahesh Bhatt who wanted Alia to miss it.
According to a report in a leading publication, "Bhatt sahab always wants actors to do their best when they are at the peak of their careers. The younger generation does like to mix work with pleasure, but it was on her father's advice that Alia decided to go to work instead of attending the birthday celebration."
Interestingly, Alia's father is very fond of her daughter's rumoured boyfriend. "I like and love him very much. He has got a core far deeper than what cinema space can capture," the filmmaker recently told a daily.
As of now, Alia is in Bulgaria for the next schedule of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra and Ranbir is busy holidaying with his family in Paris. He is likely to join the team soon and begin shooting for the film.
Brahmastra will feature Ranbir and Alia sharing screen space together for the very first time. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy and slated to release in 2019.
