New Delhi, April 13: While everyone is eager to know about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9, the company is silently planning to launch a new version of Galaxy S9 smartphone specifically for the Chinese market with a lookalike design of iPhone X. The new Galaxy S9 was spotted on TENNA with a flat display and a vertically placed rear camera.
The latest report suggests that the new Galaxy S9 with model number SM-G8850 and an iPhone-X like camera will be specifically for the Chinese market and this is not the Galaxy S9 mini as it was speculated before.
The image on the new Galaxy S9 has been shared on the website and going by the looks,
from the back, it looks pretty much like Apple's iPhone X with the vertically placed rear camera on the corner. If compared, the new Galaxy S9 has a single rear camera placed vertically at the back panel.
The new Galaxy S9 will feature a 5.8-inches display but without any curved edges that are a highlight of the original Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones.
The leaked specifications so far about the new Galaxy S9 are that it may have Exynos 9810 processor clocked at 2.8Ghz. A 8MP front camera and 12MP+12MP dual setup on the back with a similar design to iPhone X. The smartphone will run on Android 8.0 and will be backed by a 3000 mAh battery.
