Happy Birthday Siddharth! Three of his most memorable films!

Siddharth is one of those stars that isn't afraid to experiment with new narratives and genres. The actor has truly outgrown his chocolate boy image, with an uncanny eye for unique productions.

Not only is he an actor of note, he also produces, writes and has also sung several chartbusters.

On his birthday, here are five films from his stable that you would never be tired of:

Rang De Basanti: Rang De Basanti gave Siddharth a pan Indian appeal. Laced with an ensemble cast consisting of Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Atul Kulkarni, Kunal Kapoor, Sharman Joshi and Soha Ali Khan, the film entranced us into a time-period when India was born from severe birth pangs caused by the evacuation of the British.  Siddharth’s role, loosely based on Bhagat Singh, helped break his chocolate boy image.

Striker: Born into a poor family, Surya grows up with few luxuries. Poor health keeps him away from school often and that is when his elder brother, Chandrakant, introduces him to the poor-people's "faro" - carrom. Winning the Junior Carrom Championship at 12 is not enough to keep Surya's fire for the sport burning through adolescence. Hopes for a job in Dubai to replace the passion for carrom as Surya grows into a young man. He agreeably played the patient and cool person that wins in the end.

The House Next Door: It was written by Siddharth. The cleverness of The House Next Door lies in the fact that it simultaneously draws on our irrational anxieties, our embarrassment at our lack of logic while watching a scary movie and our hope that there will be a logical reason for the goings on. Its basically a horror flick. The Hero is Siddharth's writing.
