Fed up of 'unholy' politics over Delhi Smog, NGT moves to holier grounds

New Delhi, Nov 15: Moving ahead of the pollution related issues in an around the national capital the National Green Tribunal has move on to holier grounds. NGT appoints committee to look into environment protection and infrastructure for pilgrims at Amarnath Shrine. Expressing its displeasure it asked why extra shops and open toilets have not been removed.
NGT suggests that the area around Amarnath Shrine cave should be declared as 'silence zone' to prevent avalanches. It further suggested that throwing offerings and coconuts near the cave should be stopped. NGT went on to ask, 'Why SC orders of 2012 for protection of the area haven't been followed?'
On Monday NGT had limited the number of visitors going to visit the holy shrine at Vaishno Devi at 50,000 pr day. It has furthr stopped all construction related work in an around th holy shrine.
