Even as PM praises Yogi, woman burnt to death in UP after failed gang rape attempt

Even as PM Narendra Modi was praising UP CM Yogi Adityanath's work while speaking in Azamgarh, incident of a woman being burnt to death in West UP's Sambhal district after she resisted gangrape attempt has come to light. The incident happened in Pathakpur village of the district on Friday. Relatives said that four local goons had been after the deceased for quite some time and used to harass her on daily basis. On Friday afternoon, there was an argument between the goons and the woman. Then the goons forcibly took her with them and kept her in a hut. In the night, when the woman resisted gangrape the goons burnt her alive. Before dying the woman related the entire incident to her brother, audio of which has gone viral. When the goons abducted her, woman's 6-year-old girl was with her. Her husband works in Delhi.
