National | Nov. 20, 2017, 10:50 p.m.

Jaipur, Nov 20: Yet another BJP-run state has banned release of Padmavati. Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje on Monday night said that the film will not be released in the state without changes and cuts. Earlier in the day Madhya Pradesh had banned the film.

Raje on Saturday wrote to the Centre to seek "necessary changes" in the movie before its release, so that the "sentiments of any community are not hurt".

In the letter, she also requested the Central Board of Film Certification to consider all possible outcomes of the controversy and its effect before certifying the film.

Shri Rajput Karni Sena, an organisation of the Rajput community, has been protesting against the movie for the last few months and now they want a ban on 'Padmavati'.
