Mahi trapped in borewell after 32-hours

Four-year-old girl, Mahi, still trapped inside a 60-feet-deep borewell after 32-hours of the incident in Kho village of Manesar. Fear stricken family and a large number of villagers are praying for her early and safe rescue. Tension appeared on every face as Mahi was not responding to their calls.

 
A nine-member Army team dug out a parallel well this morning near to the borewell. Now, they were manually digging another seven-foot tunnel to connect parallel pit to borewell where Mahi is trapped. Reports claimed that a team of National Security Guards (NSG) also reached to the spot Thursday evening but returned without taking part in the rescue operation. Sources claimed that NSG team had refused to work as Army already pressed into service.

 
Mahi, who celebrated her birthday on Thursday evening, was slipped and fell into borewell, while playing with other children. Local administration rushed to the sport and called army for rescue operation. The work to dig out parallel pit was started on the same night. A team of health officials were on the spot and supplying oxygen through tubes into the borewell.

 
According to information, Mahi`s father Niraj Uppadhyay, who hails from Uttar Pradesh`s Aligarh district, is working as Supervisor at a factory in Manesar. He use to live Kasan village with his wife Sonia. Mahi has also a two-year old sister.
