Gopeshwar (Uttarakhand): A woman was buried alive and 15 others were injured on Thursday when landslides triggered by incessant rains hit Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway in Chamoli district.
The landslides have also flattened a tourist resort and a camp of Directorate General of Border Roads (DGBR), police said. Police said a search operation has been launched to find out if any person might be trapped under the debris of the landslides.
