You jubilantly unscrew the cork after a tough day at work, and the luscious  wine flows in dense drops into your shiny goblet. Then a voice  whispers in your ear. “Should I be drinking wine?” I mean, you try to eat right, exercise a few times a week. Are you faultering in your diet regime by indulging in the sparkly waters? There are several benefits of it actually, here are 3 of them: 


* Prevents type-2 diabetes: Insulin resistance is a critical factor which contributes to the risk of  developing type 2 diabetes. The ingrediet linked to it is called resveratrol which is located in the skin of red  grapes, and in red wine as well. 


* Raises Omega-3 Fatty Acid Levels: Sure, you could eat oily fish, but wine is better than all other  alcoholic drinks in raising your omega-3 levels in plasma and red blood  cells, moderate wine drinkers usually have higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids in their  blood, which is triggered by wine. 


* Prevents Blindness: Overgrown blood vessels in the eye can cause diabetic retinopathy and  age-related macular degeneration, however red wine can stop that blood vessel growth in its tracks.
